Prostate cancer screening assesses prostate health through PSA blood testing and/or digital rectal examination (DRE). Prostate cancer often develops slowly and may not cause noticeable symptoms in its early stages, making screening an important preventative tool.
These tests help identify potential prostate issues early, allowing for monitoring, further testing, or treatment when necessary. Screening can also detect non-cancerous prostate conditions that may affect urinary or sexual health.
At our Health Fairs, prostate screening is offered alongside education to help individuals understand their results, weigh the benefits and limitations of screening, and make informed decisions about their health.
